However, I am still not anywhere near my target of a few hundred Christian families supporting the vision of FPI with a monthly tax-deductable donation of just R100.

The current situation in Zimbabwe is a grim reminder of how vital our vote is. The selection of just one wrong leader can destroy an entire nation.
Apathy toward our God-given responsibility to elect godly men and women of integrity into positions of leadership and authority can result in a Zimbabwe type scenario for South Africa.
The great evangelist Charles Finney said the following "The Church must take right grounds in regards to politics...the time has come for Christians to vote for honest men, and take consistent ground in politics or the Lord will curse them"
Martin Luther King said, "The church must be reminded that it is not the master or the servant of the state, but rather the conscience of the state. It must be the guide and the critic of the state. If the church does not recapture its prophetic zeal, it will become an irrelevant social club without moral or spiritual authority."
Much of Family Policy Institute's work over the next nine months will focus on our upcoming General Elections. As Christians with a positive vision for our nation, we have to get it right this time! The alternative to not heeding the above warnings are to scary to contemplate!
US General, Douglas MacArthur offers this dire warning, "History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster".
